This Sony AIR-A10R Wireless Audio Receiver connects to nearly any existing audio or home theater system to bring music from your PC to any room in your home (USB transmitter for PC sold separately). Transmits up to 164' away. Set up is easy - simply plug the Universal Receiver into your existing audio system's RCA input (RCA cables sold separately) and connect to the USB wireless transmitter (AIR-PC10T, sold separately). The Sony AIR-A10R Wireless Audio Receiver lets you view song information on the LCD display. Includes remote control.

Works Flawlessly

I was a bit worried about this product and the other parts of the Sony Air system I purchased due to other reviews stating that it was hard to set up and the wireless didn't work through walls. My wife wanted a system that she could plug her iPod into and just hear her music all over the house. The A10R is the part that sends that music to our entertainment system. It receives the music and fills the living room, dining room and kitchen with music, the rest of the system takes care of the bedrooms and office. No problems with walls, no problems with setup - it all just worked the first time. I'm thinking of buying another to hook into my stereo system in my basement Man Cave!

Tried to find something wrong with this system, but was unable to. Set up was a breeze. Connected the AIR-PC10T to my Windows 7 64-bit notebook, was found instantly, changed my playback device to the PC10T, connected the AIR-A10R to my amp in the living room and started playing music. No software installed, just plug and play. Excellent stereo sound within 5 minutes of opening box. Recently attempted to test the receivers range and brought it out to my garage which is about 75' from the transmitter and must pass through 3 walls plus the fireproof wall of the garage, and the reception was outstanding with 3 of 4 bars showing!Held off installing the included software for about 2 months. Decided to give it a try and it works great. All my music files were cataloged and now I can use the included remote control to choose music by gender, album, artist, song, or select any of my Windows Media Player playlists WITHOUT having to have Media Player running.The one and ONLY issue I found, and this only occurred after installing the media software, was that while the media software is running, my screensaver will not activate. An extremely small issue, but an issue none the less. Really doesn't affect me too much, since I mostly use the AIR system to listen to internet radio (Pandora) and Sirius on-line, so I just turn the application off.I am now going to purchase additional receivers for my garage and bedroom.This is a 5 out of 5 item, which in this day of cheap shoddy electronics is a breath of fresh air. I HIGHLY recommend.

Handy Way to Stream Music Throughout Home

These work great - connect transmitter to usb port of computer, and connect receivers to various audio systems (even just a set of computer speakers) and you have synchronized music throughout the house... and even in the back yard...
