With new features to make a brilliant-sounding package even better, now's the time to update to an Onkyo home theater. InstaPrevue technology-a system that makes content selection easy-is one such upgrade to the receiver, along with an HDMI-enabled GUI featuring overlaid menus for fast in-program adjustment. Uncommonly good audio and video processing is complemented with connectivity for all of your A/V components. There are seven HDMI inputs to carry video upscaled to 4K by onboard Qdeo technology, as well as masterquality soundtracks; an HDMI output with ARC for amplified TV audio; and a USB port to connect an iPod or iPhone. Home networking offers a vast choice of online content and connects your PC-based music libraries. Dolby Pro Logic IIz expands 5.1-channel soundtracks to incorporate two extra Front Height channels, adding a realistic vertical dimension to your movies and games. The included floor-standing monitors and center speaker contain two powerful drivers each, while the subwoofer provides stunning bass impact. Four satellite speakers-two of which you might use in Zone 2 as part of a powered multi-room setup-round out the best-value home theater system in its class.

dead subwoofer

Bought it on Amazon. Loved the wireless streaming feature, even though I had to buy a wireless adaptor, and it was in the front blocking the other jacks and it wasn't pretty.In the beginning the subwoofer would occasionally work, but most of the time the light is off. After a while it wouldn't even turn on. The seller offered to send a replacement but I was just too worried about the quality so I returned it. The return was very easy as they pick it up. Packing was a pain though.Overall I think the sound was very good, except there was no bass...

One word....A-MAZING!!!

Bought this product about a month after the release date... it is INCREDIBLE! Sound is out of this world, and listening to music on Pandora is like nothing I've ever experienced before...NO commercials!!!! I love that there's a phone app where you can control the system, it is really cool! In short... WORTH every penny!

Beware Onkyo = disposable

Owned this for 2 months and sub is in the shop already. Onkyo own repair center states their equipment is crap. Told me the dealer cost for this sub is $28.00. Didn't buy this from Amazon though. Got it from HH Greg for 475.00.The rest of the system seems fine and has nice sound. The sub is getting fixed for free but I plan on replacing it with a different sub. The repair shop said this will happen again if I don't turn down the bass but I already have it set to maybe 50%.For as much as this costs I wouldn't think of it as disposable but it is. I've had a Sony system for 20 years that still works great and sounds just as good. Gave it to my kids to use when I got this. Maybe i'll swap them.
