Excellent A/V Home Theater Receiver

Bought this receiver to replace my Sony STR-DA55ES in order to take advantage of the HDMI and internet options this unit offers. HDMI passthrough works fine as well as access to my media on a DLNA compliant NAS drive which contains my iTunes and other media libraries. I have noticed one quirk with the HDMI passthrough. I currently have two HDMI devices, a Sony Blu-ray and a DTV HD DVR. When the receiver is in standby and the Blu-ray is powered on the passthrough automatically switches to that device, but the same does not happen when I power on the DTV receiver so I have to remember to leave the DTV input selected on the receiver before I put it back into Standby. I haven't looked into it yet to see if there is anything I can do to have the receiver detect the DTV while in Standby, but am still completely pleased with its performance.

I bought this to replace my Polk RMDS-1 receiver, specifically for the pre amp outs. This unit had an incredible sound and is clear at high volume. The only negative is it gets very hot even though I am only using the pre amp out. DLNA certified is a double bonus for me too.

does all that I want and more with lots of power. Sony support is a phone call away.. connectivity ishould not b a problem with all the inputs and outputs.
