This looked really cool, but the one I got was DOA. Never even lit up when I plugged it in. I really like the design, so it's a shame. Also the only option was a refund, so I couldn't get a replacement, and once you get your money back then you start looking a other options. On the upside, AMAZON's return procedure was great and cost me nothing.

If you plan on using this receiver with a Windows 7 PC system make sure that you have the most recent chipset specific drivers for your blue tooth transmitter. The generic MS Bluetooth drivers don't support A2DP devices and will make the BCR100 appear as an unsupported device. (It's not really the BCR100's fault though.) This is remedied by installing the correct drivers for the transmitter on the Laptop or PC side.Once it's installed and paired you can select the playback device by right clicking the speaker icon in the tray (lower right) and selecting "Playback devices" then right click the 'Bluetooth Audio Renderer BCR100" device and finally click on "Set as Default Device."I had no issues with setting this up with an Android phone... I'd assume that iOS devices would also be no problem.Be aware that all bluetooth audio devices are somewhat delayed by a few 100dths of a second, so audio syncing with video display will appear out, and trying to play real time software synthesizers over bluetooth will be impractical and unusable.All that said if you really need to play audio from your Laptop or Phone to a distant amplifier system without cables, then this will do it. It's a good piece of kit for decent price. It doesn't need batteries or recharging and it works as a charger for most USB devices so even though it is a wall-wart it replaces a wall-wart... Awesome for anyone running out of outlets. This can charge your phone while allowing it to pump out the jams.

Works perfectly with my Windows 7 laptop with Intel internal Bluetooth. Needed to be fairly close to the PC to pair, but once paired the range is excellent and I can hit it from anywhere in the house. The sound quality is as good as plugging in directly to the PCs internal sound card. There is extra latency which makes video look a little funny compared to the internal sound card. A full 1 amp USB charger is also included and as near as I can tell it does what it says. My only complaints are about how this works under Windows 7. The Bluetooth application item can be in your control panel, but on my PC it is ONLY to be found in the task tray. On occasion it is not there either and I need to reboot. Once paired, your still need to enable the device as a audio sink for music. That requires double clicking the new icon in "devices and printers" screen and following the simple prompts. At this point it will be the default playback device and all is good. Now if you reboot, sleep, or hibernate, you will need to do this procedure again as the internal speakers will now be the playback device and if you right click the speaker in the task tray and select playback devices, before going through the procedure in "devices and printers", the WCI option will be grayed out. I ended up pinning the ICON for the WCI from "devices and printers" to my start menu so that I can quickly get the WCI back up and running.
