The Wireless HD Receiver is an extension or add-on to the Wireless HD Kit (GWAV8141K), as it gives the ability to stream to another HD or non-HD TV or projector and is capable of receiving Full HD 1080p 60Hz or non-HD content with digital audio up to 100-Feet away from the Wireless HD Transmitter. The Wireless HD Receiver does not require a line-of-sight placement and makes placing additional HD or non-HD TV or projector's in not so common areas a snap. Broadcast: Additional Wireless HD Receivers - up to a total of 4 Wireless HD Receivers can be utilized on one (1) GWAV8141K - Wireless HD Transmitter up to 100-Feet away. Great video receiver

I had to replace my out of date PAT 240 which only have the AV outlets, this Avior has HDMI, AV, Component out, and a USB port. I had to buy the kit plus 2 extra receivers for my 3 flat screens in my spa bar and they work great. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Be aware of the cheap ones, for they don't sync well, which means the sound is usually off. This causes a lip sync effect like a foreign movie. These are digital and takes a flash drive too program them if you have several receivers. They work great if you are looking for a device to send videos from one TV to another in a far away room or if you run several TV's at once like a sports bar.

Do not waste your money

I actually bought this thinking I would be getting top class signals around the house, right now I am totally disappointed. First, after I received the items, I set up as described, the transmitter and receiver did not even communicate, I tried every possible placement, I realized there was a problem when I placed them side by side and still no communication.I did even get to transmit a signal talk less of a poor one.$410 is a huge sum of money to loose like this, the seller has washed his hands of the case, because I contacted them late..Altogether I have spent over $650 on this product because I also ordered for a second receiver, I wish someone would advise me what to do...For a piece of equipment this expensive I consider this a big rip off!

Works but not worth the cost

The setup works but it is not seamless. When switching channels on my cable box there is a couple seconds delay and this in not acceptible.
